Welcome to Market Day at Fort Island School
What is it? Market Day is a monthly food co-operative that offers delicious restaurant-quality food at a value. This will be the 12th year that Fort Island PTA has sponsored this program.
Why do we have it? It’s a unique fundraiser where our school earns profit from every item ordered, with several “Bonus Days” months, which allow our school to earn additional profits. Last year, we earned over $7,000 in profits from Market Day sales!
What do we do with the profit? Every year the PTA is asked to help provide additional educational programs/activities for our Fort Island students. The profits from this monthly fundraiser will help make those requests a reality.
How does it work? Once a month an order form will be sent home with your child. Simply mark which items you wish to order and return the form to school. You may also place your order online @ www.marketday.com , then come to the designated sale date, pay for and pick up your order.
Look for the September order form to come home with your child next week. Remember that every order, both big and small, generates profit for our school. We hope you give Market Day products a try!
